"Increasing Employee Engagement Through Employee Involvement"
Overview: Employee engagement is a top topic. Hear the real-life story of an engagement process that worked for a metro hospital and will also work for you.
Objectives:
- Participants will review a case study of a facility that improved employee satisfaction from 14% to 99% in less than three years.
- Participants will experience through group exercise a process for improving employee satisfaction.
- Participants will experience and participate in a nominal group exercise.
Presenter: Carolyn Shockey, M.A., SPHR, SHRM-SCP
With over 30 years of experience in the field of human resources management in healthcare, Carolyn Shockey has held senior human resources leadership positions directing the culture development, customer service, and employee relations strategies. She has led a number of senior leadership teams in strategic planning retreats for companies. Carolyn has achieved Senior Professional Certification in Human Resources (SPHR) and the SHRM-SCP. She holds a Masters of Arts in Communication and Bachelors degree in Speech Education from the University of Oklahoma. She has spoken at several national, state, and local conferences including the SHRM National Annual Conference 2005, American Hospital Human Resources Association annual meeting, Oklahoma Human Resources Annual Conference, and Oklahoma Hospital Human Resources annual meeting. Carolyn has published several articles in national publications including the Journal of Organizational Excellence and Press Ganey Satisfaction Monitor.
A boxed lunch will be served.
