"Empower and Ascend:  Building Pathways for Employee and Organizational Growth" 

Overview:  This presentation emphasizes the critical role of identifying high-potential employees and fostering their growth for both individual and organizational success. It highlights how a proactive approach to talent development can drive innovation, enhance retention, and create sustainable leadership pipelines.  

Objectives:

  • Identify High-Potential Employees:  Understand the key characteristics that differentiate high-potential employees and how to develop criteria for identifying these individuals within the organization. 
  • Develop Customized Growth Pathways:  Learn how to create tailored development plans that align high-potential employees' strengths with the organization's long-term goals, ensuring mutual growth. 
  • Cultivate a Culture of Continuous Development:  Explore strategies for fostering an organizational culture that encourages ongoing learning, mentorship, and leadership development to empower employees at all levels.

      Presenter:  Aaron Palacios


      Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Aaron Palacios ventured to Oklahoma to attend college, where he unexpectedly fell in love with the state's unique charm and welcoming community. This newfound affection led him to establish his life and career in Oklahoma, embracing its culture and opportunities. He is proud to call himself an Oklahoman. 

      As a seasoned HR professional with over a decade of experience, Aaron's career has spanned across various sectors including IT, retail, e-commerce, hospitality, and distribution, culminating in a leadership role at Swadley’s Restaurant Group. In his current position as Vice President of Organizational Development, Aaron oversees strategic initiatives for both the Sales and Human Resources departments, supporting a workforce of over 600 employees. His expertise in full life-cycle recruitment, performance management, and fostering organizational culture has significantly improved employee satisfaction, streamlined operations, and enhanced their competitive positioning.

      Beyond Aaron's professional role, he is deeply passionate about empowering the next generation of workforce leaders through his passion project, Navigate Career Solutions. This initiative is dedicated to preparing students for the workforce by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to navigate their career paths successfully.

      Aaron is also actively involved in the HR community, serving as the President Elect of the Sooner HR Society and a member of SHRM since 2021. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Religious Studies from Southwestern Christian University, complemented by his SHRM-CP Certification.

      His journey from Texas to Oklahoma and his career progression are testaments to his adaptability, dedication, and the continuous pursuit of growth, both personally and professionally. Aaron is committed to developing people and organizations to their fullest potential and making a positive impact in the HR field.
